The Rights Angle: Human Rights Education Using the Newspaper Alberta Edition

This version of the The Rights Angle manual is created to assist facilitators in teaching human rights to junior and senior high school students. It provides activities as well as background information on the  Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child,  the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, the Alberta provincial human rights legislation, Newspaper structure and content, and critical reading.

The Manitoba Children's Advocate helps young people who are getting or needing services from a Child and Family Services agency in Manitoba. They also take calls from others concerned for the wellbeing of children receiving services from an agency in Manitoba.
