The  Landon Pearson Resource Centre for the Study of Childhood and Children's Rights website provides many links to resources of Children's status within Canada over the years including the Child Rights Academic Network, The Canadian Journal of Children's Rights/ Revue canadienne des droits des enfants,   the Shaking the Movers Collaborative Consultations with Children and Youth, and other links to organizations which can provide additional information. Additionally an overview is provided of the UN's Convention on the Rights of the Child. 

Every Child

The website of the Society for Children and Youth of BC is a place to share your ideas and resources on children's rights. It provides links to resources such as  multimedia, assessments, information guides, workshop materials,  reports and research. It also, offers suggestions of five simple things that you can do to assist in upholding children's rights based on your role within your community.

Canadian Federal Government's Website

The website of the Canadian Federal Government  provides links to The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms in many languages, a guide to this charter, the Canadian Bill of Rights, as well as international human rights instruments, such as the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.  This site is also where Canada's reports to the United Nations can be found, such as the Third and Fourth Reports of Canada on the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

That's Not Fair!

That's Not Fair! is a learning resource for children aged 7-11 years.  The site provides a series of cartoon episodes, games and lesson plans to teach children about human rights and critical thinking of solutions to protect community members.

Your Movement

World Vision Youth Canada is a Christian advocacy organization which has created the Your Movement website  to share stories of youth engaged in social change across the world. The website aims to  inform youth about issues relating to poverty and to support youth who would like to be a part of the  change with their own World Vision Youth campaign. 

Human Rights Handbook for First Nations

The Human Rights Handbook for First Nations is for people who work for First Nations governing bodies to understand and address human rights challenges in their communities. This handbook briefly summarizes which employers/service providers are likely to  be regulated by the federal government. It also provides quick facts, media coverage, publications, a toolkit for developing community-based resolution processes, and a guide for understanding the Canadian Human Rights act in Cree, French, Inuktitut and Ojibwe.
