Universal Declaration of Human Rights

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a paper that explains the basic rights and freedoms of every person, under every government and country around the world. It is a paper that talks about the goals and values of the United Nations. It says that the rights mentioned are important to justice, peace and freedom in the world. It is a paper that should be kept in mind all over the world at all times so that these rights and freedoms can become a part of everyday life.

The Universal Declaration explains that everyone is born free and equal in rights and worth and that we have the responsibility to treat each other as family. No matter the differences (sex, language, culture, race, opinion, place of birth, etc.), everyone has the same rights around the world. The Universal Declaration includes all of the other agreements and papers of the United Nations. It gives the responsibility to people and their communities to make sure that these rights are taken care of as much as possible and recognizes that the rights do have their limits.
